Controls and rules
W forward, S backpedal (half speed), AD strafe, arrow keys turn (defaults; change them under Action bars & keys)
The mouse turns your character; hold left mouse to look around without turning, and both buttons to run forward. Click the target under the centre dot, or press Tab. Esc frees the cursor and pauses. Prefer WoW-style right-click steering? Turn off Mouselook in Settings.
Space jump · mouse wheel zoom · L combat log · Esc pause
Your abilities:
Everything needs range and line of sight; pillars block spells. Projectiles (bolts, shots, thrown axes) and melee strikes also need the target in front of you.
Moving or jumping cancels a cast. Fake a cast and step to bait an interrupt.
An interrupt locks the school you were casting (Frost, Arcane, Nature, Shadow) for a few seconds; other schools still work.
Crowd control has diminishing returns: the next stun, sleep, fear, root or silence of the same kind within 18s lasts ½, then ¼, then not at all. The target frame shows the current state.
After 1 minute, Fatigue reduces all healing and shields, growing over time.
Break Free removes all crowd control on a 90s cooldown.

Graphics
Turn this off if the game stutters. The game also lowers its resolution by itself if frames run slow.

That's software rendering: Chrome isn't using your graphics card, so the game will lag. In Chrome, open Settings → System, turn on "Use graphics acceleration when available", and restart Chrome.
Mouse and keyboard
Fullscreen hands the whole keyboard to the game, so Alt and Ctrl combinations can't open browser menus or close tabs, and the mouse stays captured more reliably. Esc still pauses; hold Esc to leave fullscreen.
Hold left mouse to look around without turning; clicks target whatever is under the centre dot. Esc frees the cursor and pauses. Turn this off to steer only while holding right mouse.
Sound
Alerts and interface covers the enemy-cast chime, countdown, error buzz and the win/loss stingers. Combat effects is everything else.
